The second button in the fifth set of buttons across the top of where you're typing your post text is where you can post a picture. Make sure you post your pictures online somewhere. I use imgur. You're certainly free to do the same. It works nicely even if you don't make an account and the images are stored in high quality. Hope that helps.

Yes, I try to resize it in imgur. It's got a nice built-in image editor. I don't know if you have to have an account, but it doesn't take long to make one. Just click on the edit button on the bottom-left of any photo in your Images and start editing.
