help patch error 12029

Guys im getting this patch error 12029 thingy every time i try to launch the game
pls help

Uhhhhhh, you can un-install the game and install it again.

well ive tried that severel times and nothings changed and now some other message comes up : Vindictus Module not found?!
+ the nexon homepage+forums are down? anyone else got that prob?

yes the website and forums are down, thats probally why you cant launch your game, i cant either, wait till they are up and it will be fixed

I have never heard that patch error thing before :3 only thing i can think of is something somewhere your game data is corrupt maybe you were patching when the servers crashed only thing i can suggest is maybe kill off your current game and reinstall it

well thing is ive tried that like 3 times always says the same there are a few other people with this problem but not many.. so no solutions yet.... hm is there like a different place where i can download it from? different client or something?

not that im aware of ... might try a file share site but then as soon as the game goes to update :3 .. it might do the same damn thing

Rosty, you need to do a completely clean uninstall. I've had this issue myself. When you uninstall the normal way using Window's add/remove programs, Vindictus (as well as every other program) will leave behind little fragments of its existence in your registry. You need to remove EVERYTHING relating to Vindictus. A program called CCleaner can help you do that. It is a free program downloadable here: http://www.piriform.com/CCLEANER
Once downloaded, make sure that you delete the program though CCleaner, then run the registry scanner and delete all the little fragments.

After I did this, however, I was still getting issues because the Vindictus patch downloader somehow let the nasty virus "Win32/Virut" get into my system. (Yes, its called Virut, not Virus, drives me insane that it has a t at the end.. lol) But my point is that the Vindictus patcher is not %100 secure and it can and will let viruses into your system that will mess with the game and won't let you start it. In this case, the BEST free (and I would say over all.. because its awesome) antivirus software is MalwareBytes. Downloadable here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/
I was running AVGFree and McAfee that I had bought and neither of them found the viruses that MalwareBytes did. After I ran that, restarted my computer, then reinstalled the game from the normal old website and it ran fine.
Let me know if this fixes your issue..

You Open CCleaner and then click tools and then uninstall should be right there.

By the way, if you are running AVG, it messes with the game as well. It wouldn't let my game patch even after I turned it off.. and corrupted my game multiple times before I figured out it was AVG messing everything up. I know that Nexon has noticed this because I seen the post on the site, but this was happening to me months ago! lol! Had to completely uninstall AVG from my computer (Using an actual AVG uninstaller I had to download because AVG becomes like a virus itself when you're trying to get rid of it..) and started running Avast instead.. which has no issues thus far.. and isn't nasty when you try to remove it.

By the way i wanted to get rid of last chaos but when i uninstal it deletes ALL my other things aswel do you know how to fix that???

And that last bit there, I have no clue what you're talking about... more detail maybe?

well last chaos is an mmorpg and well i tryed it out and it was CRAP.... well anyway when i tried to uninstal it i noticed it was taking ages to do so. Then i started noticing that files were missing befor i knew it half of alll my files/games were gone just like that. i think it some kind of virus cause i did it 2 times and both times it did the same

Well if you think it is some kind of virus, download MalwareBytes and have it do a full scan on your computer. Then, try to remove last chaos and see if that fixes your problem. Then you will know for sure if it was a virus or not.
